Which Size Of the Ossur CTi3 Is Right for Me?

The Ossur Knee Brace is available in four convenient sizes for both the left and the right knee. To ensure the optimal fit, you'll need calipers, a marker and a soft measuring tape. Please measure across the middle of the knee, and also 20cm (8") above the mid-patella as follows:

Caliper Measurement

To measure, use a pen to mark the middle of your knee cap. To find the middle of your knee cap, feel the top and the bottom of your knee cap and then find the centre between the two edges, and mark it with a horizontal line using your pen. Take the calipers and measure across the middle of the knee cap to find the width of your knee. Make sure the calipers align with the centre mark, and the edge of the calipers touch the widest part of your leg, not just the knee cap. Take the measurement in a weight-bearing position, with a slight bend in your knee.

Thigh Circumference

Use a soft measuring tape around the whole thigh, 8" above the mark you made earlier in the middle of your knee cap. Do this in a weight-bearing position, with a slight bend in your knee. Match you measurements to the table below:

Created after an in-depth analysis of the leg's natural motion, the hinge features a patented four-bar linkage system that accurately recreates the knee's natural movement – exactly as it would be brace-free – to give you the flexibility you need to perform at your best.

Breathable Padding for Improved Comfort

Featuring a comfortable liner, the Ossur CTi3 features padding that is wonderfully breathable for maximum comfort during use. In addition, this almost completely eliminates migration of the knee brace, ensuring that the brace stays comfortably in place.

Secure Ligament Support

Through its comprehensive support system, the CTi3 Knee Brace provides total support for your knee ligaments. For ACL support, firm contact between the brace and the shin stops forward movement and rotation of the knee, while the non-elastic strap on the thigh give the CTi a counter-force to provide better stability. The brace's rigidity across the hinges gives support to the MCL and LCL ligaments either side of the knee to control medial and lateral stability.

How Light Is the Ossur CTi3 Knee Support?

Made from a composite carbon fibre material, the Ossur CTi3 weighs less than 500g, meaning that you don't have to worry about the brace slowing you down or being uncomfortable. Please be aware that the precise weight of the brace will differ based on the size and that this 500g measurement is excluding any additional components.

For orders for products that are marked as "In Stock", we dispatch over 95% of orders on the same working day when the order is placed before 14:00. If an order is placed after 14:00, it may be sent on the same day but if not will be sent on the next working day.
